Keukenhof Holland: Opening hours 2025

Keukenhof 2024 is now closed. It will resume in 2025 with the following opening dates next year:

Keukenhof is open from 20 March to 11 May 2025

This page will then be updated again from autumn 2024. If you wish, you can already note the date for the spectacular Flower Parade on 12 April 2025.

When is the Keukenhof in Holland open? The tulip blossom in Holland lasts from the end of March to mid-May. However, the start and course of the spectacle of the colourful flower fields depend on the weather and the severity of the previous winter. The crocuses bloom first, followed by the pink, purple, and white hyacinths in mid-April, and then the tulips. Mid-April is, therefore, often the best time to visit the seemingly endless fields of tulips around the capital of the Netherlands.

Flower parade and public holidays

The Flower Parade of the Flower Bulb Region traditionally occurs once a year. Enormous floats and cars lavishly decorated with flowers cover a route from Noordwijk’s North Sea seaside resort to Haarlem, west of Amsterdam.

The impressive flower parade will take place on Saturday, 12 April 2025, and will pass by Keukenhof between 15:00 and 16:00. Hundreds of thousands of people want to take part in the spectacle so you can expect heavy traffic and road closures around Keukenhof between 13:00 and 17:00 on this day.

The car park at the main entrance to Keukenhof cannot be accessed or left during this time. Record numbers of visitors at Easter and on public holidays are also not uncommon at Keukenhof, which should come as no surprise if you visit the tulip fields on these days.

Wheelchairs are also available free of charge for people with reduced mobility and can be hired for a deposit of €20.00. This amount will be refunded when the wheelchair is returned.

X The number of wheelchairs is limited, and reservations must be made as early as possible but no later than 17:00 the day before the planned visit. Tel: +31 252 465555, e-mail: info@keukenhof.nl. Wheelchairs, pushchairs, and buggies are also permitted in the flower park.

Dogs are also permitted. Animals must be kept on a lead and are not allowed in the pavilions and restaurants. However, this does not apply to assistance dogs for people with disabilities. Dog waste bags are available from the ticket inspectors at the entrance.
