History of Madame Tussauds Amsterdam

Marie Gosholz, born in Strasbourg in 1761, is behind the popular waxworks. In 1778, the Frenchwoman modeled her first wax figure, an interpretation of Voltaire. Her works received so much recognition that she was even called to the Royal Court of Versailles to work as an art teacher.
